3 AI Tools for Research Data Analysis

Takeaways:

  • Julius AI has a range of visualizations, in this example showing a distribution of codes and hospital lengths. It also has self-correcting mechanism, which ensures the analysis remains accurate.
  • Vizly provides insightful visualizations but adds a layer of interactivity with its graphs. You can zoom in and out to interact with the data points, making analysis more engaging.
  • ChatGPT stands out with its ability to create interactive graphs and its thorough analysis plans. It’s ability to hold metadata in memory and provide a step-by-step breakdown of its analysis process really makes it stellar. ChatGPT was also able to confirm its findings by recalculating efficiency, which adds an extra layer of reliability to its results.

TEAM MORALE

Use Micro-Affirmations for Positive Reinforcement to Boost Morale

Takeaways:

  • We know that positive reinforcement is good for team morale, but we often overlook the micro affirmations in the day-to-day solely relying on celebrating big wins.
  • Small, more frequent gestures that acknowledge people’s efforts go further and can be powerful in making people feel valued and respected, especially for those in less glamorous or less visible jobs.
  • Examples include:
    • “I noticed the effort you put into that project, it really made a difference”
    • “That’s a great idea. Thank you for sharing it with the team.”
    • “It sounds like you’re feeling frustrated, and that’s completely understandable.”
    • “You have a unique talent for coaching others. It’s impressive to see you in action.”

PRODUCTIVITY

Slack Tips & Etiquette You Need to Know

Takeaways:

  • Train your team to use threads and reactions properly. There’s nothing worse than a new employee replying to Slack channel with a new message, and clogging up the chat.
  • Organize Slack channels based on departments instead of projects. Departments don’t change but projects will. It’s smarter to have channels and use external tools like Google Drive to organize and track projects.
  • Utilize Slack’s Later feature. This tool allows you to prioritize messages and come back to messages later. You can also use the “schedule” tool to send messages to co-workers during work hours, on the days you’re working late and don’t want to ping them.

Genius Birthday Party Hacks

Takeaways:

  • Avoid messy birthday cake serving by cutting the cake into equal small squares and placing forks in them first. Then use the forks to easily place them onto plates.
  • Take the lid from a frosting cup. Draw a star into the middle. Then take a razor and cut where you drew the star’s lines. Then place 5 slit in the outer ring of the top. Pull balloons through each slit and the star’s slit in the middle. Bam! You’ve now got beautiful balloon flower!
  • To easily hang streamers, take a stick and a rubber band. Place the rubber band at the base of the stick, then place the stick through two different colored streamers. Take a piece of tape on the edge of each streamer. Take the tape from each streamer and attached to the wall, then pull and twist the stick across the wall. You’ll easily be able to cut and tape the streamers to the other side of the wall creating effortless decor!
