Own Your Mistakes
Early in my career, I was terrified to admit if I made a mistake, but I learned to just fess up when it happens.
When you realize you messed up in a way that’s going to affect other people, figure out how you’re going to fix it, go tell your boss, and be honest about how it’s going to interrupt workflow.
Everyone makes mistakes, and I find that most of the time people respect you more for dealing with it head-on, rather than hiding it or waiting until someone confronts you.
