Avoid These Job Interview Missteps

Takeaways:

Avoid saying “I was fired from my last job.” Instead, say your role was impacted by restructuring, and use it as a chance to highlight how you’ve grown or upskilled since.
Always ask a question. Try, “What does success look like in this role?” or “What are the biggest challenges the team is facing?”
Don’t say, “I’m just applying to a lot of places.” Instead, show intention: explain why you’re drawn to the company or role specifically—think mission, culture, or growth potential.

MARKETING

9 Psychology-Backed Marketing Moves

Takeaways:

People buy feelings and outcomes, not features. It’s not about what your product does; it’s about how it transforms their life.
Urgency and social proof are essential to drive action. If there’s no reason to act now, people won’t. And if they can’t see that others trust you, they’ll hesitate.
Simplicity, testing, and risk-reduction win. Perfection slows you down. Use data to guide decisions and make it easy for customers to say yes by removing objections.

WORK CULTURE

Creating a Work Culture to Bring Out the Best in Employees

Takeaways:

Chris White talk about employees quiet-quitting when they don’t feel psychologically safe or undervalued at work.
He suggest 3 ways to prevent this:
- Unblock communication; when employees don’t feel heard, this can feel like an identity threat causing them to close down. Continually invite teammates to speak up.
- Become responsive; words without action breed cynicism.
- Aim higher; invite your team to bring their whole selves to work. We are more than our resumes, and when you know employees on a deeper level, you can serve them better.
Ask your teammates the following question — ”What don’t we talk about around here?”
If you get crickets, it’s probably a strong signal that your organization is blocked, but at least you’ve signaled openness. It’s important to keep asking the question so that more people start opening up.

FITNESS

Stronger Hips, Better Movement

Takeaways:

Weak or ignored hip flexors can lead to common issues like groin strains, back pain, and poor performance in running, lifting, or sports.
Training your hip flexors (especially at end ranges) improves stride power, glute activation, and overall core strength, making movement more efficient and reducing injury risk.
Use controlled movement, dynamic stretching, and proper cueing to build both flexibility and function in the hips. Try a seated lift using a kettlebell and alternate lifting your leg one at a time.
