MARKETING

A bold yellow graphic displays large black text asking how a major consumer brand might advertise like a B2B company. The design uses a simple layout with a solid yellow background and a centered play button.

What Nike Sells That Has Nothing To Do With Shoes

Takeaways:

  • What people are really buying is meaning, and Nike delivers it: ambition, confidence, and the belief that you’re capable of more.
  • Feature-based marketing is a race to the bottom. The moment your message becomes “we have X feature” or “87% of users agree,” you’re inviting competitors to claim the same advantage. The strongest brands stop competing on specs and start owning a perspective, mission, or identity that competitors can’t easily replicate.
  • The customer should be the hero of the story. Nike’s best campaigns aren’t about Nike. They’re about the athlete. Instead of leading with what your product does, lead with the transformation your customer wants and the person they’re trying to become.

Where “Per My Last Email” Goes to Die

What people actually love about Slack is everything that stops happening once it’s there: the reply-all spirals, the “quick sync” that ate your afternoon, the file you swore you saved somewhere.

Channels keep each project in one place. Huddles turn a meeting into a one-click, two-minute call. And Slack Connect runs a shared channel with your clients or vendors, so the external email chain finally dies.

Tip: pin the decision in every channel so nobody asks twice, and let search surface that thread from March in seconds.

FINANCES

A woman wearing large transparent glasses records a video while seated inside a vehicle. The image includes text at the top about lease-end equity and a play button overlay in the center.

Why Turning In Your Lease Can Cost You Thousands

Takeaways:

  • Many leased vehicles have equity at the end of the lease term. If the market value of your car is higher than the lease payoff amount, that difference belongs to you. Simply turning the car in could mean walking away from money you’ve already built through your payments.
  • Start shopping your lease around several months before it ends. Contact multiple dealerships and ask what they would offer to buy out your lease. Different dealers may value the same vehicle differently, which can result in thousands of dollars in additional equity.
  • Always check your lease agreement before making plans. Some manufacturers restrict who can purchase a leased vehicle at lease-end. BMW, for example, has had policies that limit third-party buyouts. Understanding your contract can help you maximize any equity while avoiding surprises during the buyout process.

PRODUCTIVITY

Stop Building Canva Carousels Slide By Slide

Takeaways:

  • Let AI handle the first draft so you can focus on the message. Instead of building every slide manually, use Canva’s Carousel Studio app to generate an entire carousel structure from a simple prompt.
  • Start with the idea. Open Canva, go to Apps, search for Carousel Studio, describe your topic, choose the number of slides, and generate a complete carousel in seconds.
  • Build a few reusable templates so you spend less time formatting slides and more time on the content, visuals, and story.

PERSONALIZED WELLNESS

The Bloodwork Your Annual Physical Skips

You know something is off. Energy is lower, sleep is weirder, workouts hit differently, and the bloodwork keeps coming back “normal.” Most labs weren’t built to catch midlife shifts, so the patterns get missed and the symptoms get explained away.

A clinician at Midi reviews your hormones, cholesterol, thyroid, and inflammation markers, then builds a plan mapped to your biology. Insurance covers it in every state.

Book your virtual visit today and find out what your labs have been missing.

WELLNESS

Why ADHD and PMDD Often Show Up Together

Takeaways:

  • Women with ADHD are significantly more likely to experience PMDD. Research has found that roughly 31% of women with ADHD met criteria for PMDD compared to about 10% of women without ADHD, highlighting a connection that’s often overlooked.
  • PMDD is not usually caused by abnormal hormone levels. Most women with PMDD have hormone levels that appear completely normal. The challenge seems to be how the brain responds to normal fluctuations in estrogen and progesterone throughout the menstrual cycle.
  • For women with ADHD, those hormonal shifts can hit even harder. Because estrogen helps support dopamine function, changes during the luteal phase can amplify challenges with focus, motivation, emotional regulation, executive function, and resilience, making ADHD symptoms feel significantly worse before a period.
